What to expect and how you'll make an impact

As a women’s center volunteer with TP, you will become part of the global movement that is working to empower women and girls by giving back on education-focused projects in Tanzania.

These women’s rights volunteer opportunities have a strong focus on education because learning new skills can help local women secure a steady income, granting more freedom, independence and equality.

Volunteer work can also include empowering women through building confidence, developing financial knowledge, fostering entrepreneurship skills, and growing strong female leadership - all to support stronger, happier and kinder communities around the world.

Whether you’re passionate about increasing positive outcomes for women, or a solo female traveler looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity, TP’s Women’s Empowerment programs are an extremely rewarding and uplifting way to gain cross-cultural experience and deepen your compassion.

Why do Women's Empowerment with Tanzania Projects

Many women and girls living in the communities we support face a wide range of social inequalities and often do not have the chance to complete their education or gain financial independence.

By volunteering with women, you will contribute to the long-term goal of assisting social change and creating an inclusive society in which women have equal rights and are able to access education, healthcare and employment opportunities.

You can also expect to learn from a cross-cultural exchange, as you and your host community will have the opportunity to engage with different cultures, ideas and perspectives.
